Taylor + Zac’s Wedding

“How do we keep our wedding from being chaotic?”

Ideally, everyone wants to have one wedding. The stress of creating a perfect, once-in-a-lifetime day runs high, and with all the moving parts, tasks can get lost in the mix. One of the most common checklist items missed is the importance of the wedding photo timeline. I don’t want to come across as biased but, your photographer is typically the only vendor who gets to spend the whole day with you! I not only act as your photographer, but, at times, your on-day-coordinator, hype man and personal assistant for snacks and drinks. Now, you may be asking, “Where do we even start?” Have no worries! I will send you an email with an example timeline, and am happy to come alongside you to make the flow of your day as smooth as possible. I always tell my couples that one of my priorities ,after capturing excellent photos, is to make sure they are one time and not stressed. Use your resources! Your day-of coordinator, and your photographer are excellent people to speak into the schedule of your day. Talk to your friends who’ve been through the process of scheduling out a wedding! Odds are they’ll definitely have a nugget of wisdom for you. Remember that your wedding is a reflection of you as a couple, and since every couple is unique, your wedding day will be too! Adjust your timeline and day-of expectations to fit you guys! The smoothest weddings I have participated in as a photographer are those of couples who curated a well organized timeline and communicated that timeline clearly to everyone playing a role in their day.

Everyone, Taylor and Zac! They were one of the sweetest couples, and most adaptable people. A day before the wedding I received a text from them saying they had to move their outdoor reception under a tent due to weather. I arrived the next day and the reception was all set up and ready to go. One of the bridesmaids explained to me that it had been all hands on deck to set up the reception in a couple hours. It was incredible to see what they did in a short period of time. The outcome showed how deeply people cared about the couple. Despite the rainy day, Zac and Taylor were such a content couple. They knew they were getting married, and they had their friends and family to support them. That is all that mattered. No matter how much you plan or pre plan for things, at the end of the day, it's all about two people coming together, committing to spend the rest of their lives together. Taylor and Zac recognized that, and their day was so much better for it. Congratulations Taylor and Zac!
