If you’re anything like me, the couples shoots you open IG to see, every day, all start to look the same. You start to sit back and think, “How the heck can I make my photo shoot not blend in?” One of my favorite ways to help a shoot be unique is hosting it in the couples’ home! Your home is a reflection of you; what better way is there to showcase your personalities! If you don’t feel like your home meets your aesthetic bar, check Airbnb! In home styled shoots push both the photographer, and you as a couple, to figure out what best displays you guys.
Friends, meet Hanna and Kevin. As soon as I met them, an heard that they wanted to rent an Airbnb in Philadelphia for their shoot, I knew they were down to get creative for their photos. As we rearranged the room to optimize the best lighting, I saw Kevin’s eyes light up as I explained my vision. Like every shoot, the first stretch was consumed with me finding the angles I wanted to use, and them warming up to the camera. Both Hanna and Kevin got more relaxed in front of the camera, and their personalities started to reflect in the lens. We spent a good bit inside but did an outfit change, and trekked outside to capture the city, and all of its composition. Hanna and Kevin were so easy to work with and get to know. I am looking forward to experiencing the creativity they bring to their wedding day. I am absolutely excited to capture them, and celebrate them!
